Inspiration

The game comes with a large quantity of tokens and token types. If you wish to keep each token type separated in the box, you need a separate plastic bag for each of them. The same goes with the four decks of cards. This made the organization tedious and setup/teardown time very long.

Challenges

It took multiple attempts to find the perfect fit of cards into deck sleeves and then fit all four card-filled sleeves into one deck box.

Tools

All of my designs were made in Affinity CS and cut/scored on a Cricut smart cutting machine.

Execution

The Token Tray was designed using the tool from deckinabox.sgenoud.com and 65lb-cardstock paper; The Multi-Deckbox and deck sleaves were printed and cutout with custom die-cut designs and printed to look like the box.

The Starting Player Token is made from a vinyl stencil (based on the ship token used in a more recent release of the game) adhered to a clear acrylic circle.
